Biography

Having background in pop and jazz music piano pedagogy, Terhi Pippuri has been writing songs and composing music for various projects with several artists around the world, including music for contemporary circus pieces and collaborations with songwriters at songwriting camps in Europe. She moved to the UK in 2012 to study songwriting at Master's degree course at Bath Spa University and relocated to London after her graduation. Since 2017 Terhi has been back in Finland working as university teacher in music education unit at University of Eastern Finland, teaching instruments skills, music theory and creative music production subjects like arrangement and songwriting. She has love for Eurovision Song Contest and ambient piano music. Terhi is also studying cultural studies specializing in ethnomusicology and she is writing her master's thesis about songwriters' musical identities. From October 2023 she has been mentored by DWB Music Ltd.
